In order to stop the landslide process on the Bagebi-Tskneti road, the construction of a protective wall has already started

Tbilisi City Hall started arranging a protective wall on the Bagebi-Tskneti connecting road, where a landslide zone was detected.

The Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Bendeliani got acquainted with the ongoing works on the spot.

According to the Deputy Mayor, after arranging the wall, it will be safe to move on the mentioned section.

“The ground collapsed this morning. The work process was planned throughout the day and as you can see, the work is in progress. The plan is to remove the collapsed land and to arrange a wall in order to move safely in the future”, - said Irakli Bendeliani.

According to him, in order to stop the landslide process on the slope, larger-scale works are planned.

“The City Hall has already prepared detailed projects for the surrounding slope and in the nearest future we will start the second stage of the work, which will be much larger; however, before the start of this work there is no danger”, - the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi stated.

For the purpose of carrying out the works, starting from 21:00 on March 25 up to 08:00 on March 26, on the Bagebi-Tskneti connecting road, before the turn to the settlements of Bagebi and Kaklebi, the movement of vehicles was restricted.
