“We have made another important decision for the city to increase territorial boundaries of Vake Park. Adjacent territories of Turtle Lake will be added to the park. Whole area will be registered under one cadaster code. Most importantly, it will be granted status of Monument of Cultural Heritage” – the Mayor of Tbilisi informed the media at the press conference in the City Hall.
According to Mr. Narmania, currently Vake Park covers 18 hectares. After aforementioned territories will be added to the area, the park’s space will reach 34 hectares. With this initiative, Tbilisi is going to have additional protected-recreation zone. Vake Park will be granted status of Cultural Monument Heritage.
